I’m Carrie the face behind @ablondesadventures and this is my first blog post, welcome! I hope you’ll stick around and follow my adventures.
For those who don’t know me, I’ve been married to my best friend for 4 years, we have a beautiful baby girl and I’m an independent travel agent, so if you ever need any help planning your adventures please get in touch, I’d be happy to help.
I’ve also been diagnosed with type one diabetes for over 5 years. Suffering from a chronic illness means travel isn't always easy but I never let it stop me having fun!
Why I've Decided to Start a Blog
I have written a number of guest blogs and thought it was about time I actually stopped procrastinating and wrote my own, so here it is!
The quote “FILL YOUR LIFE WITH ADVENTURES, NOT THINGS. HAVE STORIES TO TELL, NOT STUFF TO SHOW” really resonates with me especially now we have a little girl. We wanted her to grow up experiencing life rather than being at home watching others have epic adventures via a screen. This also factors into our decision to homeschool her.
So my main reason for starting a blog is so that she can have a travel diary, as such, to look back on when she’s older, of all the adventures we took her on.
I also enjoy sharing my experiences from my holidays with others and if my blog helps even one person on their next adventure, then that’ll make me happy!
What I’m Going to be Writing About
All our family adventures, big and small, from day trips, exploring our local area to further afield on our international trips. 
A few tips and tricks, the mistakes we made and what we learnt along the way. Hidden gems and must see places as well as our favourite places to eat!
For fellow type one’s, I’ll also include tips on how I manage my diabetes, whilst on my travels.
Just so that you are prepared, Disney will also feature heavily, as Disney World was definitely one of my favourite trips of all time.
